Charleston Home Sales - October 2010

The Charleston Trident Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service reported 533 single family detached home sales in October. This was equal to September sales.

The average sales price showed a slight decrease over September to $279,068 and the median price increased about 4.5% to $207,990. The average days on market (DOM) increased to 134 from 103 in September. On average, homes sold for 93% of the list price. For every home sold, 1.79 homes were newly listed.

There are currently 6,379 single family DETACHED homes listed for sale in the Charleston MLS and an additional 2,105 condos and townhomes available. As of November 18, detached homes sales improved about 7.93 % over sales for the same time period in 2009.
