The Charleston Trident Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service reported 324 single family detached home sales in January. This was down 33.47% over December sales.
The average sales price was down 6.87% from December at $291,975. Median price increased slightly to $209,936. The average days on market (DOM) increased to 137 over 120 in December. On average, homes sold for 93% of the list price. For every home sold, 4.09 homes were newly listed.
There are currently 6,315 single family DETACHED homes listed for sale in the Charleston MLS. There are an additional 2,537 condos and townhomes listed for sale.
Starting the year, 2010 sales of detached homes are down 6.84% from the same time period in 2009.
